If you have custom-designed scorecards for your event, Competition Corner lets you upload them directly into each workout and automatically populate them with athlete and heat information. The result is a fully sorted, print-ready deck of scorecards — no manual filling, no sorting by hand.

Where to Find It

Scorecard templates are configured at the workout level. For each workout in your event:

  1. Go to Workouts and open the workout you want to configure

  2. Click the Score Cards tab

From here you can upload and manage scorecard templates for that workout.

Uploading a Scorecard Template

Scorecards can be uploaded in PNG or JPEG format. Once uploaded, you assign the scorecard to a specific division — allowing you to use different scorecard designs for different divisions within the same workout.

If all your divisions share the same scorecard design, a single upload can be assigned accordingly. If divisions have different formats or branding, upload a separate template for each.

Setting Placeholders

Once your scorecard image is uploaded, you position placeholders on the card to tell the system where to dynamically insert athlete and heat information. The following placeholders are available:

  • Athlete Name — or Team Name for team-based divisions

  • Division

  • Workout Stage

  • Heat

  • Lane

  • Bib Number

  • Heat Start Time

  • Heat End Time

Drag each placeholder to the exact position on your scorecard where you want that information to appear. The system will fill in the correct values for each athlete when the scorecard deck is generated.

Exporting the Scorecard Deck

Once your templates and placeholders are configured, you can export the full deck of scorecards for the workout. The exported PDF will:

  • Include one scorecard per athlete (or team) per workout

  • Have all placeholders pre-filled with the correct athlete and heat information

  • Be sorted in heat schedule order — so the deck is ready to distribute to judges exactly as-is, with no manual re-ordering required

Tips

  • Make sure your heat schedule is fully configured before exporting, as the sort order and heat/lane information depend on it

  • Leave sufficient clear space on your scorecard design where placeholders will be placed — avoid busy backgrounds or dark areas in those zones for legibility

  • You can upload different templates per division, making this suitable for events where RX, Scaled, and Masters athletes use different scorecard formats
