Athletes sometimes register for the wrong event, need to switch divisions, or want to move on or off a team. Competition Corner gives you several tools to handle any of these scenarios directly from your dashboard.
⚠️ Scoring note: Any scores associated with a transferred athlete will be removed from the leaderboard and may affect overall rankings.
Moving an Athlete to a Different Event
Use this when an athlete has registered for the wrong event and you need to transfer them to the correct one.
Go to Participants → Athletes and click […] in the Actions column for that athlete
Click Transfer Participant
Select the destination event and division
Optionally click Resend Registration Confirmation to notify the athlete
Let Athletes Transfer Themselves
If you run multiple events, you can allow athletes to transfer their own registration without needing to contact you. Enable this under Organizer Settings → Global Options → Settings. Once active, athletes can go to their dashboard and move their registration to another one of your events.
A few constraints apply to athlete-initiated transfers:
The transfer must be like-for-like — a team registration can only transfer to a team division, and an individual registration to an individual division
The destination division must be priced the same as the original
There must be an available spot in the destination division
Moving Athletes Within Your Event
Swap an athlete between two teams
Use this to exchange athletes between two teams in the same division.
Go to the team and click Swap Athlete Between Teams
Select the division, destination team, and the athlete to swap
Move an athlete to another team with an open spot
Go to the team and click Move Athlete
Select the division and destination team
Only teams with an available spot will appear.
Move an athlete from a team to an individual division
Go to the team and click Transfer to Indy Division
Select the destination division
Note: Moving the last remaining team member will also delete the team. The destination division must have an available spot.
Move an athlete from an individual division to a team
Go to Participants → Athletes and click […] in the Actions column
Click Transfer to Team Division
Select a destination team or create a new one
Note: You can only move an athlete into an existing team if there is an available spot.
