How should I score a scaled workout?

Some competitions will allow their athletes to use lighter weight for a workout for the sake of having a good time, however in order to level the playing field they need to establish some rules. We recommend a 2 to 1 rule. An example if a Rx workout is:

  • 10 Toes to Bar

  • 15 Power Snatches (75#)

  • 20 Double Unders

  • 25 Kettlebell Swings (54#)

And the athlete can't perform Toes to Bar, they can do Knee Ups, however they will need to do 2 knee ups for every 1 Toe to Bar.

Establish this parameters up front and make sure judges clearly understand how to record that there are no issues when it comes time to entering scores.
