The World Health Organization (WHO) has declared a Public Health Emergency of International Concern (PHEIC) for the current outbreak of coronavirus disease, known as COVID-19.
We ask you to review your local authorities' travel guidance and health advisories about this outbreak, as well as global guidance from the WHO. We strongly urge you to take necessary precautions to protect yourself when traveling to events hosted on our platform.
We're closely monitoring the official guidance from health authorities, local governments, and the World Health Organization in order to support the health and well-being of our global community in impacted areas.
Deciding to cancel your event
You, as the event organizer, should feel empowered to decide what is best for your organization and attendees in order to keep them safe.
Keep yourself informed about the status and possible precautions in your area. If you're unsure about what to do, please consult your local authorities for guidance.
If you're taking any precautions at your event, make sure to include an FAQ in your event description. This will likely reduce the amount of questions you might get from your attendees.
Cancelling or postponing your event
If you have to cancel or postpone an event, it's important to communicate with your attendees and issue refunds. Once you've completed these first steps, select the "Cancel" option in your Event Settings to cancel your event in the system.
Please visit our Help Center articles for step by step instructions on cancelling your event
If you are postponing your event, it's critical to keep them up to date on any milestones you reach towards realizing your event to ensure they are still on board.
Refunded service fees for cancelled events
Due to the situation at hand, we will be providing relief and waiving our platform fees for any refunds to any events that have not taken place during the period of March 12th to April 15th.
If an event is cancelled, please contact us before April 15th and we will arrange a full refund to your participants will include the entire purchase—the ticket price and any fees.
Do not issue the refunds yourself, as the athletes will not receive a full refund.
Please bare with us as it may take up to 5-7 business days to process refunds.
We've negotiated with our credit card merchants to waive their fees, which is how we're able to offer a full refund during this period. The deadline they've given us is April 15th.
Any refunds after this day, we are unable to offer a refund on our processing fees.
In this case, we may still refund the athlete's their full amount and bill you for the fees to cover the difference.
