Setting Up Stripe

Competition Corner uses Stripe as its payment processor. Stripe is required for all events — including free events — and is how registration payments are collected and paid out directly to you.

Why Stripe?

  • Supports multiple currencies

  • Free to sign up and easy to connect

  • Payments flow directly to your bank account in real time — no waiting for weekly payouts

Step 1: Create a Stripe Account

If you don't already have a Stripe account, sign up at www.stripe.com. Make sure you complete Stripe's verification process before connecting to Competition Corner, as an unverified account may delay your ability to collect payments.

Tips for faster Stripe verification:

  • Use a business email address — free email providers (Gmail, Hotmail, etc.) may slow down approval

  • Registered businesses are typically approved faster than sole proprietors

  • Respond promptly to any requests from Stripe, especially if you're a new user

Step 2: Connect Stripe to Competition Corner

  1. Click the gear icon to open your Organizer Profile

  2. Select Organizer Profile Settings

  3. Go to the Integration Settings tab

  4. Scroll to Payment Processor and click Connect

  5. Follow the prompts to authorize your Stripe account

Step 3: Set Stripe as Your Payment Method on Your Event

Once connected, make sure each event is configured to use Stripe:

  1. In your event settings, locate the Pricing page

  2. Select Your Stripe Account

This ensures all registrations are routed through your Stripe account. Competition Corner fees are automatically deducted and processed — nothing extra is required on your end.
