Managing Athletes and Teams: Adding, Replacing, and Removing

Add athletes or teams on their behalf, replace a participant, or remove them from your event entirely.

As an organizer you have full control over your participant list — you can add athletes or teams directly, replace a participant, or remove them when needed. All of these actions are available from the Participants section of your event dashboard.

Adding an Athlete or Team

You can register an athlete or team on their behalf at any time — even after registration has closed. Click the + icon in the sidebar next to the relevant format (Athletes or Teams) and complete the registration as they would.

Note: Any athlete added manually through the backend will need to sign a liability waiver before competing. See Requesting a Liability Waiver for how to send one.

Replacing an Athlete or Team Member

Individual athlete

  1. Go to Participants → Athletes, search for the athlete being replaced, and click Replace

  2. Enter the details of the new athlete

  3. If the new athlete needs a different division, make the replacement first, then edit the athlete record to update their division

Team member

  1. Go to Participants → Teams, search for the team, and click Update

  2. Click X or Replace next to the athlete being replaced and enter the new athlete's details

Alternatively, if registration is still open, you can direct the team captain to handle this themselves — send them to How to Manage My Team.

Removing an Athlete or Team

⚠️ Deleting an athlete or team is permanent and cannot be undone.

Individual athlete

  1. Go to Participants → Athletes, search for the athlete, and click Update

  2. Scroll to the bottom of the athlete's record and click Delete

Team

  1. Go to Participants → Teams, search for the team, and click Update

  2. Click Delete — this will remove the team and all of its members
