When you register for an event on Competition Corner, you may be offered a Ticket Protection option at checkout. Refund protection is provided by Teak. This covers you if you need to withdraw from the competition due to an unexpected qualifying event — such as illness, injury, or a work-related issue preventing you from attending.
Why It's Only Available at Registration
Ticket Protection must be purchased at the time of registration and cannot be added afterward. This is standard practice, not a platform limitation. Allowing someone to purchase protection after they already know they may need to withdraw is not permitted.
In short: if you think you might need it, the time to add it is at checkout.
What's Refundable
Ticket Protection refunds your registration cost if you're unable to attend due to one of the specified qualifying reasons. A few important notes:
Work or personal conflicts are not refundable. Ticket Protection covers genuine obstacles that prevent attendance — not situations where you've simply chosen not to go.
Event cancellations or rescheduling by the organizer are not refundable. Ticket Protection is designed to protect the athlete, not against event-level decisions. However, if an event is rescheduled, your protection automatically carries over to the new date.
Eligibility is conditional. The qualifying event must be the direct cause of missing the competition.
How to Request a Refund
All refund requests are handled directly through our provider — there is no need to contact the event organizer.

Select your refund reason and provide the required supporting documentation
Your request will be reviewed within approximately 1–3 business days

Already Registered Without Ticket Protection?
If you've already registered and missed the option at checkout, post-purchase coverage may still be available in some cases — but time is critical. Please contact us immediately at support@competitioncorner.net or use the chat option on this page and we'll check with Teak on your behalf. This needs to happen within minutes of registering, as eligibility cannot be guaranteed once time has passed.
